The full size Magnus (normal endcap version) the quietest .30 cal suppressor and is ideal for big .30 cal magnums. On smaller calibers it's also the quietest. For reference, supression is significantly better than an Ultra 9.

When shooting 300 Winchester Magnum, the RR models (all lengths) offer over 60% recoil reduction when compard to a bare muzzle. For comparison's sake, a normal MAGNUS-CB with flat endcap only has a 29% reduction on 300WM. See the table at the top of this page for all the recoil reduction data (click on it to make it larger!). The RR models of each variant add 1.5" to the overall length and add approximately 2.4 ounces.

The official model ("ULTRA 9") does not change. Gen2 Ultra 9s can be identified by serial numbers that are higher than C40000 or by the visual changes. The .30 cal ULTRA 9 Gen2 meters at 135 dB (milspec left/right) and 123 dB at shooter's-ear1, shooting full-power (hot) M118LR ammunition from a 20" AI AX. Compared to the original, the Gen2 is about 2 dB quieter at the muzzle and 5 dB quieter at the shooter's ear.

The second-generation 22 TAKE DOWN takes the solid performance of the original 22 TAKE DOWN and shrinks it smaller and lighter: 4.8 inches long and 4.8 ounces in weight! The GEN2's suppression performance on .22LR rifle is the same as the original; but on semi-auto .22LR pistols, it's about 1 dB quieter. GEN2 22 TAKE DOWNs can be identified by having a serial number higher than TD10000. This multi-purpose, heavy-duty small-caliber suppressor works great on pistols and rifles chambered in .22 LR, .22 WMR, .17 HMR, 5.7x28, and similar calibers. It is user serviceable and may be taken completely apart. The 22 TAKE DOWN GEN2 is 4.8 inches long by one inch in diameter and weighs 4.8 ounces. The 22 TAKE DOWN has 17-4 stainless baffles and a Grade 9 titanium tube. The 22 TAKE DOWN suppresses the typical .22 LR rifle down to approx 110-114 dB(A) when measured at the shooter's ear.
